Adavaci Island
Only a trip from the airstrip on Vanua Balavu, in Fiji's Lau archipelago, Adavaci Island rises out of the cobalt blue waters of the South Pacific like a massive tree-covered turtle.
Situated in a quiet bay east of Fiji, Adavaci is a stunning 102 acre Freehold island blessed with beautiful beaches, bountiful vegetation and unbelievably unspoiled waters.
A boat ride around the island reveals several soft, white sand beaches perfect for secluded sunbathing or developing beachfront accommodations. At low tide it is possible to walk from many of the beaches to the smaller islands that fringe Adavaci. These fringing limestone isles have been eroded at the low tide line and seem to float above the impossibly blue water.
Not far from the island, diving enthusiasts will be spoiled by the staghorn coral clusters in the world renowned Adavaci passage. Even off the beach an abundance of marine life and warm waters makes for unforgettable snorkelling experiences.
Inland, orchids and hibiscus grow wild amongst the palm and logon trees fed by the rich soil. The island rises in the middle reminding hikers of the volcanic origins that gave life to Adavaci.

Interesting. I may visit just to get a look at that vegetation. I hear the orchids smell absolutely divine on Adavaci.
